Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, IIT Bombay, will be accompanied by a team from the Dean ACR and DRF office to Canada for an alumni roadshow-cum-reunion event in July. The team will meet IITB alumni in Toronto and Vancouver. Apart from an interactive session with the director, it is a chance for the Institute and its alumni to reconnect, reminisce, and revel in the company of old friends and learn about the exciting new developments at the Institute.
The Electrical Engineering Alumni and Corporate Engagement cell (EE ACE) will host all IITB alumni and their families for the annual Summer Lab Tour organized by the Electrical Engineering Department, IIT Bombay. This full-day event includes lab tours, a lab exhibit, and lunch. IITB alumna, Dr. Shreya Agrawal, will deliver a wellness talk which will be followed by an interactive session.
The EE ACE’s Summer Lab Tour is a nostalgic journey where alumni can look through the EE labs including the Power, Analog, Signal-Processing, etc. The tour aims to showcase the diverse range of projects that leverage electrical engineering principles in conjunction with other fields like computer science, biomedical engineering, and telecommunications.
Whether IITB alumni are seasoned industry professionals or simply curious about the advancements in this rapidly evolving field, this event promises to reignite their passion for innovation and highlight the significant growth of the EE department in the past decade.
Labs that will be part of the tour include the Wadhwani Electronics Laboratory, the NCPRE Solar Module Lab, and the Nanofabrication Facility.
During the tour, alumni can also engage with EE faculty members – old and new – and brilliant student researchers who are pushing the boundaries of electrical engineering.
The next edition of the Faculty Alumni Network (FAN) and the Distinguished Alumni Meet (DAM) in 2023 will be held in the US at the Northwestern University Campus in Chicago. The event will bring several of our highly accomplished alumni who are in leading positions in academia and industry in the US, together with the senior administration and faculty of IIT Bombay. They will deliberate on several strategic matters related to Institute growth as well as emerging areas of research, to nucleate collaborative programs for mutual impact, and to create opportunities and explore innovative ways to take IIT Bombay to greater heights.
