Dr. Pramod Chaudhari

Widely acclaimed as Ethanol Man, winner of prestigious George Washington Carver Award (2020) and William Holmberg Award (2022), Dr. Pramod Chaudhari is committed to furthering the cause of technology and education in closed collaboration with IIT Bombay. He has set up Alumni Continuing Education Centre (PCACEC) for facilitating lifelong learning of alumni. He has also set up the Centre for Learning and Teaching (PPCCLT) to adopt global best practices in teaching and learning. He has funded two Chair Professorships and Laboratory for Cell Culture at the institute.

Mr. Toos Daruvala

Mr. Daruvala is a corporate director (Royal Bank of Canada; One Main Financial, MIO Partners) and an adjunct professor at the Columbia Business School. He had a career of 35+ years at McKinsey and Co, where he was co-CEO of MIO Partners (the captive asset management subsidiary of McKinsey) and a senior partner. He was on the global board of McKinsey and was leader of McKinsey’s banking and risk management practices in the Americas. He is a dedicated supporter of various causes at the Institute including Project Evergreen (an alumni-led initiative to fund and construct a state-of-the-art hostel complex), Student Scholarships, the Institute Development Fund that support’s IIT Bombay’s greatest needs and the Class of 1977’s legacy initiative for the Faculty Housing Project.

Mr. Mohan Kavrie

Mr. Mohan Kavrie, a recipient of IIT Bombay’s Distinguished Alumnus Award (2016) and founder of Supreme Nonwovens Group has generously contributed towards establishing the Alumni Centre on the campus to strengthen engagement with the alumni community. The Centre aims to create an inspiring and inclusive atmosphere for alumni to reconnect, collaborate, and spend time on campus.

Additionally, Mr. Kavrie has helped establish the Vilas Karnik Fund that supports the Financial Aid Program (FAP) for student scholarships and has contributed to the Hostel Alumni Team Stewardship (H.A.T.S.) initiative for Hostel 8.

Mr. Ramesh Mangaleswaran

Mr. Mangaleswaran has donated generously to support implementation of the Institute’s strategic plan as well as the reconstruction of Hostel 6.

Mr. Rajesh Mashruwala

Mr. Mashruwala is the CEO of Mashruwala Investments and Partner (Emeritus) of Prime Venture Partners. Mr. Mashruwala is a dedicated alumnus of the Institute and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the IIT Bombay Heritage Fund. He has generously supported several initiatives at his alma mater including the Unmesh Mashruwala Innovation Cell (UMIC), the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the renovation of hostels, the Mess Workers Incentive Fund, and more.

Mr. Abhay Pandey

Mr. Abhay Pandey has contributed towards the Institute’s new Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Annex Building. The HSS Annex Building will house the B.S. Economics Programme at IIT Bombay, and the facility will also conduct classes in the Humanities, Social and Behavioural Sciences.

Mr. Sharad Sanghi

Sharad Sanghi is the Cofounder and CEO of Neysa, an AI acceleration cloud platform company. A pioneer in India’s tech infrastructure, he introduced the country’s first data centers, advancing its digital landscape. He founded Netmagic in 1998, scaling it into India’s leading data center company before its acquisition by NTT in 2012. He remains Chairman of NTT Global Data Centres India.

Under his leadership, Neysa is developing purpose-built AI solutions to drive AI adoption across industries globally. He co-chairs CII’s Data Centre Council and serves on the APNIC Foundation board. Recognized as a TiE Hall of Fame entrepreneur, he has contributed to AT&T Bell Labs, NSFNET, and IBM. An IIT Bombay and Columbia University alumnus, he was honored with IIT Bombay’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2021.

Dr. Sharad Saraf

Dr. Sharad Saraf recently made history by becoming the first Institute alumnus to be appointed as the Chairperson of IITB’s Board of Governors (BoG). Dr. Saraf and his brother Shri Sudarshan Saraf contributed generously to their alma mater by setting up the Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (TCA2I) at IIT Bombay. The TCA2I aims to help academia and industry leverage the immense power of AI/ ML, Data Sciences, and Optimisation.

Mr. Sudarshan Saraf

Mr. Sudarshan Saraf, along with his brother, donated generously towards setting up the Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (TCA2I) at IIT Bombay. TCA2I aims to help academia and industry leverage the immense power of AI/ ML, Data Sciences, and Optimisation. Mr.Saraf has been an ardent supporter of student initiatives at the Institute. He has recently sponsored the finale prizes for the winners of the Invention Factory Program conducted for students at IIT Bombay. He has also contributed towards student scholarships over the years.

Mr. Deepak Satwalekar

Mr. Deepak M. Satwalekar is the Chairman of Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee, Administrative and Shareholders/Investors Grievance Committee at Wipro. Mr. Satwalekar is also the lead independent director of the Company.

Mr. Satwalekar was the Managing Director of HDFC Ltd., India’s first and largest specialized provider of housing finance. He then became Managing Director and CEO of HDFC Standard Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (2000-2008), the first private-sector life insurance company registered in India after 1956.

Mr. Satwalekar has over four decades of experience in areas such as finance, banking, sales and marketing, risk management, operations and cybersecurity, among others.

Mr. Satwalekar has contributed to the setting up of the Deepak and Maya Satwalekar Design and Making Lab at IIT Bombay. He has further contributed for setting up the Space Instrumentation and Technology for Astrophysics Research (SITARE) Lab at the Institute.

Mr. Beerud Sheth

Mr. Sheth is instrumental in the setting up of the Centre for Machine Intelligence and Data Science (C-MInDS). The Centre aims to build a world class program, that will nurture talent and apply AI and DS to solve some of the most pressing challenges for the country and industry.
