From contributing to fields like Semi-X, Quantum, CSE, and BSBE, to pioneering breakthroughs, our women scholars are integral to the innovation and progress at IIT Bombay. Innovating the Future: Team Avlokan's Triumph at Smart India Hackathon 2023
In the dynamic landscape of technological innovation, where challenges spark creativity, one team from IIT Bombay stood out at the Smart India Hackathon 2023. Team Avlokan, comprised of bright minds from the Department of Aerospace Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering, secured a victory in addressing the Ministry of Defence's challenge – 'Drone-based Intelligent Magnetic Sensing System and Metallic Anomaly Detection.' Their groundbreaking solution, featuring a Quadplane VTOL aircraft and a magnetic anomaly detection suite, not only tackled a complex problem but also presented a robust and cost-effective method for enhancing national security through long-range maritime surveillance.
