IIT Bombay will host the 27th edition of Asia’s largest science and technology festival – Techfest 2023-2024. Spearheaded by the students at IIT Bombay, a dedicated team has been working tirelessly over the past few months to ensure that this year’s Techfest promises to be an unforgettable experience, where the interplay between Magic, Science, and technology will take centre stage for a journey into The Mystical realm. From ancient mysticism to cutting-edge innovations, the festival will explore a boundless spectrum of creativity and ingenuity in a Techno-Mystical extravaganza. Techfest 2023-24 will also host multiple competitions including Cosmoclench, Meshmerize, Techfest Olympiad, Codecode, and more.

IIT Bombay will celebrate the Diamond Jubilee Reunion of Joining for the Class of 1969 (DJRUJ) in January 2024. IIT Bombay invites the class of 1969 to travel back in time to campus and relive their student days and reconnect with former batchmates and peers during the reunion. The Institute warmly welcomes the class to explore the various developments that have taken place on campus and acquaint themselves with the current students and faculty at their alma mater and explore cherished alma mater’s future direction.

IIT Bombay will celebrate its annual Institute Valedictory Function (Valfi) in May. As always, the Institute will invite an extraordinary alumnus to be the Chief Guest for one of its most popular and significant events. Graduating students will take the “Give One for IIT Bombay” pledge and promise to contribute a percentage of their future earnings to their alma mater. Valfi is the last official Institute event for graduating students before they leave their cherished Institute to start a brand-new life.

The next edition of the Faculty Alumni Network (FAN) and the Distinguished Alumni Meet (DA Meet) in 2024 will be held in the US at Stanford University, USA. The event will bring several of IITB’s highly accomplished alumni who are in leading positions in academia and industry in the US, together with the senior administration and faculty of IIT Bombay. They will deliberate on several strategic matters related to Institute growth as well as emerging areas of research, to nucleate collaborative programs for mutual impact, and to create opportunities and explore innovative ways to take IIT Bombay to greater heights.
