AUV-IITB Succeeds at Robosub 2025

AUV-IIT Bombay secured 6th place in the finals and 4th in the semi-finals at RoboSub 2025, USA, one of the world’s top competitions for autonomous underwater systems. RoboSub challenges student teams to design and build fully autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) capable of performing complex real-world missions: from navigation and perception to manipulation, torpedo shooting, and object detection, all without human control. The event featured 58 teams from nine countries, and amidst an elite global lineup, AUV-IITB stood out as the only team from India and the second-best from Asia.
