IIT Bombay launched the Radhika Rajan Women Leadership Lecture Series on campus in March.

This distinguished series was made possible by the generous contributions of IIT Bombay’s alumna, Ms. Radhika Rajan (M.Tech., Physics, 1977), who serves as Executive Vice President at DSP Investments.

The inaugural lecture showcased Ms. Premlata Poonia, Founder of Hamari Laado. Ms. Poonia’s extraordinary journey, from the remote village of Likhmewala to leading a billion-dollar business in the US. Her subsequent return to her roots and dedication to empowering young girls through Hamari Laado continues to leave a lasting impression.

Her lecture illuminated the paths of her academic and professional career, showcasing how each step paved the way for her mission – “Change, one girl at a time!”

This impactful talk deeply resonated with IIT Bombay’s dedication to empowering women in STEM fields and nurturing their pursuit of excellence.
