IIT Bombay dedicated Lecture Hall 21 to the loving memory of Mr. Mohsin and Mrs. Zulekha Vasi, parents of the Institute’s esteemed Professor Emeritus, Prof. Juzer Vasi.

In a special event held on campus, the Lecture Hall was renamed the Mohsin and Zulekha Vasi Lecture Hall.

IITB Distinguished Alumnus, Prof. Juzer Vasi (B.Tech., EE, 1969), joined the Institute as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering in 1981 and became its HoD from 1992 to 1994. He later served as the Deputy Director of the Institute from 2006 to 2009, leaving an indelible impact on the institution’s growth and progress. Prof. Vasi’s visionary mentorship has shaped countless lives and continues to drive the Institute’s success.

Several of the Institute’s faculty members and well-wishers came together during the event and paid homage to Prof. Vasi’s parents.

IIT Bombay is sincerely grateful to Prof. Vasi for his esteemed service to the Institute and is proud to honour his contributions through this special gesture.
