IIT Bombay and the Prefecture of Hokkaido, Japan, Sign Letter of Intent

IIT Bombay and the Prefecture of Hokkaido, Japan, signed a Letter of Intent, following a high-level meeting between senior leaders from both sides held at the official residence of the Consul General of Japan in Mumbai. The discussions reaffirmed a shared commitment to advancing mutually beneficial talent development and exchange between IIT Bombay and the Hokkaido government, Japan. This initiative aligns with the Japan–India Action Plan on Human Resource Exchange and Cooperation, signed by the Prime Ministers of both countries in August 2025, and reflects a shared vision for long-term cooperation, innovation, and growth.

IIT Bombay Hosts Senior Leadership from the University of Albany (UAlbany)

IIT Bombay’s Office of International Relations hosted a senior leadership team from the University at Albany (UAlbany), USA, on campus. The team included Dr. Havidán Rodríguez, President; Dr. Carol Kim, Provost & Senior Vice President; and others, while IIT Bombay was represented by Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, and other senior dignitaries.

The two teams signed an MoU marking an important step towards strengthening institutional collaboration, even as the meeting explored new avenues for academic and research collaboration with the Institute. The discussions focused on identifying concrete and mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities. The visit also included interactions with the teams at the Koita Centre for Digital Health and SEMiX at IIT Bombay, highlighting shared strengths in digital health, semiconductor research, and innovation.

IITB’s Student Wellness Centre Organises Exhibition on Mind Gym

IIT Bombay’s Student Wellness Centre hosted a two-day exhibition on Mind Gym by the Manashakti Research Centre on campus, on the anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The exhibition highlighted the importance of mental strength, focus, and inner resilience—values strongly emphasised in Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. Through interactive mind-training and experiential activities, the exhibition invited all campus residents to pause, reflect, and strengthen their minds during today’s fast-paced and often stressful times.
