IIT Bombay’s MoU with Arun Firodia to Enhance Mobility and Electronics Research

IIT Bombay has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Distinguished Alumnus, Mr. Arun Firodia (B.Tech., Electrical Engineering, 1965), Chairman of the Kinetic Group. The MoU was signed towards strategic initiatives in the domains of mobility and electronics that are part of the Institute’s ongoing pursuit of excellence.

The collaboration will facilitate the expansion of IIT Bombay’s infrastructure and bolster its research activities. The partnership will also create a Chair Professorship in Mobility and Electronics, enhancing IIT Bombay’s leadership in research and education within this domain. This endowment will drive innovation and excellence through industry partnerships, student engagement, and advancements in research within the fields of mobility and electronics.

The Institute is deeply grateful to Mr. Firodia for his generous support and vision for his alma mater. In recognition of his contributions, IIT Bombay will dedicate a space to him that will further research in Electrical Engineering and name it the ‘Arun Firodia Research Floor.’
