IIT Bombay partnered with the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) on a 2-day workshop on May 12-13, 2023, at the Institute’s campus, to promote collaboration between faculty members from IIT Bombay and government-funded engineering institutes in Maharashtra.

About 60 faculty members from 15 engineering colleges attended this workshop. The workshop explored ways for IIT Bombay and DTE to work together that will benefit several faculty members and students of engineering colleges across the state.

Mr. Vikas Rastogi, Principal Secretary, Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra; Dr. Vinod Mohitkar, Director, Directorate of Technical Education; Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, IIT Bombay; Prof. K P Kaliappan, Dean (Strategy), IIT Bombay; Prof. Milind Atrey, Dean (R&D), IIT Bombay; and Prof. Rajesh Zele, Convener of the DTE-IITB workshop, addressed the participants during the workshop.

During the course of the workshops, several faculty members made presentations on emerging topics. Subsequently, inputs were taken from various faculty members concerning possible modes of interaction with IIT Bombay professors.
