IIT Bombay had the pleasure of hosting Shri B. Venugopal Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher and Technical Education Department (HTED), Government of Maharashtra, on campus. Shri Reddy was accompanied by his team comprising:

- Dr. Umesh Kokate, System Manager, DTE
Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, IIT Bombay, welcomed the delegation in the presence of several Institute dignitaries, including:
- Prof. Milind Atrey, Deputy Director (Academics, Research and Translation)
- Prof. K. V. Krishna Rao, Deputy Director (Finance, Infrastructure and Administration)
- Prof. Leena Vachhani, Associate Dean R&D

- Other Institute functionaries and faculty members

The delegation engaged with faculty experts and students across several strategic initiatives, including the IIT Bombay Nanofabrication Facility, the Drone Laboratory (as part of the Maharashtra Drone Mission), the Makerspace lab (Deepak and Maya Satwalekar Lab), the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), the Technology Innovation Hub (TIH), and the IIT Bombay Research Park. The visit facilitated discussions on strengthening collaboration in education, startups, translational research, and innovation, as well as fostering academia–industry partnerships.
The visit highlighted IIT Bombay’s commitment to advancing education, research, and innovation, while fostering strong collaborations with government and industry. It provided a valuable platform to showcase the Institute’s cutting-edge facilities, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and translational research initiatives, reinforcing its role as a national hub for knowledge, technology, and innovation.
