Bonn, Germany, witnessed a special milestone as members of the IIT Bombay community from across Europe gathered for the Institute’s first-ever Europe Alumni Connect. Set along the banks of the Rhine, the event provided an opportunity for alumni from different generations, professions, and countries to reconnect and renew their ties with their alma mater.

The event was addressed by Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, IIT Bombay, and Prof. Ravindra Gudi, Deputy Director (Finance, Infrastructure & Administration), who shared updates on the Institute’s recent achievements, ongoing initiatives, and long-term vision.

The gathering offered far more than a networking platform. It became a celebration of shared experiences, enduring friendships, and the unique bond that connects IIT Bombay alumni regardless of where life has taken them. The success of this inaugural Europe Alumni Connect was made possible by the efforts of the Europe Chapter Executive Committee and the enthusiastic participation of alumni who travelled from across the continent to take part in the occasion.
