IIT Bombay Celebrates India’s 76th Republic Day

IIT Bombay marked India’s 76th Republic Day with a grand celebration at the Gymkhana grounds. The event began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, IIT Bombay, accompanied by a salute from the IIT Bombay security staff and NCC cadets.

In his address to the IIT Bombay community, Prof. Kedare extended his warm wishes, emphasizing the significance of the day in the nation’s history. The celebration also included the presentation of certificates to the winners of the essay writing competition held during Vigilance Awareness Week 2024.

The Institute also honoured the dedicated personnel who contribute to the safety and well-being of the campus by felicitating the security officers, guards, and NCC cadets.

The vibrant celebrations were further enriched by spirited performances from students of Aman Day Care Centre, Campus School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Bombay, and NSS, reflecting the true essence of Republic Day with their enthusiasm and fervour.

As the celebrations concluded, the sense of unity and pride within the IIT Bombay community was palpable. The day’s events served as a reminder of the values that bind us together—patriotism, service, and the spirit of progress.
