Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, IAS, Secretary of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, visited IIT Bombay to explore potential collaborations aimed at enhancing research and industry applications of steel in India.

Engaging in discussions during the visit were Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, IIT Bombay, along with Prof. Deepankar Choudhury, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, and Prof. Sanjay Chandra, Professor of Practice in the Department of Metallurgy and Material Science.

The discussions between IIT Bombay and the Ministry of Steel towards advancing research and industry applications emerge as a promising pathway, poised to contribute significantly to the evolution of steel technology in India.
