Lumina – Lighting Her Path was launched during IIT Bombay’s Annual US Roadshow in October 2025. Lumina is more than just a network; it’s a vibrant and supportive community for generations of IITB women. Inspired by the word ‘alumni,’ Lumina’s mission is to illuminate pathways for connection and growth by amplifying voices, celebrating success, and inspiring future generations through a legacy of shared wisdom. The initiative focuses on creating a platform for women alumni to share life experiences, provide mentorship, and conduct networking events & workshops. The Institute is grateful to alumnus Anil Kshirsagar (1975 batch), Founding President of IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation, for his vision to shape this idea and to provide the seed support to get it started. This initiative is guided by a core committee of alumnae from India and the US, supported by the IITB Alumni & Corporate Relations team, IITB Alumni Association and IITB Heritage Foundation and designed for long-term sustainability.
