Shri Nagendra Nath Sinha, IAS, Secretary of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, visited IIT Bombay to explore potential collaborations aimed at advancing research and expanding the industrial applications of steel in India. In the course of the visit, Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, IIT Bombay, engaged in discussions with the Ministry of Steel, accompanied by Professor Deepankar Choudhury, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, and Professor Sanjay Chandra, a Professor of Practice in the Department of Metallurgy and Material Science.

In fostering this dynamic partnership, IIT Bombay and the Ministry of Steel are poised to propel the realms of research and industry applications in the steel sector, marking a significant stride towards innovation and progress.
