IIT Bombay Soars in the QS WUR 2025 Global Rankings: Makes A Historic Leap to 118th Place

In an extraordinary accomplishment, IIT Bombay ascended 31 places and achieved its best-ever global ranking of 118th (advanced from the 149th position last year) in the  Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2025. The Institute also took the premiere spot in India. This marks the first time IIT Bombay has secured a place within the top 125 since it participated in the QS rankings.

The Institute received an overall score of 56.3 out of 100. IIT Bombay also scored the following in various categories out of a total of 100 points:

–  86.0 in Employer Reputation
–  79.1 in Citations Per Faculty
–  64.5 in Employment Outcomes
–  58.5 in Academic Reputation
–  52.5 in Sustainability
–  52.3 in International Research Network
–  14.4 in Faculty-Student Ratio}
–  4.3 in International Faculty
–  1.3 in International Students

Among these nine parameters, IIT Bombay scored the highest in Employer Reputation with a global rank of 63.
