IIT Bombay marked a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Gogri Hub for Membranes. This collaborative initiative aims to revolutionize membrane technology, advancing solutions in clean water access, healthcare, sustainable energy, and environmental protection.
Present at the signing ceremony were esteemed dignitaries from IIT Bombay, alongside prominent figures including Mr. Mirik Gogri, Mr. Rajesh Gopinathan, and Prof. Shobha Shukla.
The Gogri Hub for Membranes is poised to incubate groundbreaking research and facilitate commercialization across various domains, including water and wastewater treatment, biomedical applications, alternate energy, and gas separation. By bridging cutting-edge research with industry collaborations, the Hub aims to accelerate the adoption of sustainable membrane solutions, aligning with global efforts for decarbonization.
With this initiative, IIT Bombay reaffirms its commitment to driving innovation and addressing pressing societal challenges, and positioning India at the forefront of membrane research and innovation.
