IIT Bombay professor Arindrajit Chowdhury’s startup, InspeCity, has raised an impressive $5.6 million (~₹47.9 crore) in seed funding to revolutionize in-space satellite servicing. Incubated at IIT Bombay, the company is developing cutting-edge technologies for propulsion, robotics, and autonomous docking, all geared toward extending satellite life and tackling orbital congestion. With a demo mission planned for 2027, InspeCity aims to lead the global ISAM (In-Space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing) market from right here in India.
