Impact at a Glance
IIT Bombay and Groww Foundation have launched a multi-component programme at the Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE) to support student teams in translating academic ideas into real-world solutions.
- The initiative includes the creation of the Groww Innovation Space, a 15,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art facility providing early-stage innovators with workspace, infrastructure, mentorship, and structured evaluation frameworks.
- An annual Grand Challenge will invite interdisciplinary teams of students, researchers, and faculty to develop solutions in areas such as holistic education, sustainable livelihoods, healthcare, and women’s empowerment.
- Over the four-year programme, approximately 100 student-faculty teams will be supported each year as a formal part of their entrepreneurship and capstone coursework, enabling nearly 400 teams to receive rigorous academic guidance, prototype support, and potential incubation opportunities.
The partnership aims to combine academic expertise with strategic philanthropic support to accelerate translational research and deep-tech innovation in India.
