IIT Bombay will collaborate with Citadel Securities to establish the IITB-Citadel Securities Quantitative Research Lab. This new facility will be housed within the Institute’s soon-to-be-opened Centre for Research in Financial Markets.

The Quantitative Research Lab aims to spearhead research in various finance domains, utilizing mathematical and statistical methods to enhance finance and risk management. It will also explore technological innovations within banking and financial markets. The initiative is not limited to research; it will also support academic programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and post-doctoral levels, incorporating real-world financial service applications to enrich student experiences.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by notable figures including:
