National Education Day Celebration

IIT Bombay is organizing the National Education Day programme (online) and the IIT Bombay Research Excellence Awards 2020 will be conferred on our faculty member awardees. The programme will be broadcast on Institute’s official Youtube channel.

International Conference on Environmental Science and Engineering (ICESE 2022)

The Environmental Science and Engineering Department (ESED, formerly CESE), IIT Bombay, is organizing the ‘International Conference on Environmental Science and Engineering’ (ICESE-2022) to attract scholars and scientists from all over the world who are pursuing research in the fields of environmental science and engineering. The conference will bring together the best in the field and invite them to present their scholarship by way of submitting papers, participating in vibrant panel discussions and more.

Republic Day Celebrations, 2022

Students, faculty members and alumni get together every year to mark the occasion of India’s Republic Day. Covid-19 protocols permitting – hoisting of the Indian flag hoisting and a speech given by IIT Bombay’s Director will take place as part of the celebrations.

IITBAA’s 20th Anniversary Celebrations

IIT Bombay Alumni Association (IITBAA) was established in 2001 and tt is proud to celebrate 20 years with a virtual celebration. The program includes a session with professors/students/recent alumni, a message from the Director and Dean ACR, a video showcasing IITBAA’s achievements over 20 years, a performance by Y-Point Orchestra, and a fun session featuring alumni stories and quizzes/a treasure hunt!

DSSE Entrepreneurship Symposium

The Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship will host an entrepreneurship symposium in the upcoming new year. Apart from unveiling the new DSSE building, the symposium will host two panel discussions. The topics are ‘Evolving Role of Entrepreneurship Education and Academic Incubators’ and ‘Fostering Entrepreneurship Ecosystem from Research to Impact.’

Institute Lecture on “Flow Physics and Computation at the Intersection of Mechanics and Bioengineering”

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is organizing an Institute lecture in February 2023.

Title: “Flow Physics and Computation at the Intersection of Mechanics and Bioengineering”

Speaker: Professor Rajat Mittal, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Professor of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA.

Prof. Mittal has done pioneering work in the development of computational methods for fluid dynamics, in particular, immersed boundary methods, and applications of these methods in several interdisciplinary fields. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society and American Society of Mechanical Engineers and a recipient of several notable awards such as ASME Freeman Scholar in 2021.

Interim Session of 61st Convocation

Interim Convocation Day is one of IIT Bombay’s most prestigious and eagerly awaited annual events. The ceremony is held for students who receive their graduate degrees before the main Convocation Day, basis their requirement to pursue advanced degrees and/or find jobs elsewhere.
