This unique panel discussion series will assemble IIT Bombay ChemE alumni who are industry experts and leaders and will address various topics including:
The level of knowledge that exists at global and national level on the issue of air quality
The current trends and the future direction we need to take for building evidence and models for improving air quality
The role played by chemical engineers in developing and deploying relevant technologies or changing policy
The role of IIT Bombay and other institutions in India to develop better policies, practices and implementations for improving air quality

Invoestomania is a 15-day rigorous event being organised by the Finance club. The participants will have to make their own strategies and backtest them for themselves. After testing, these strategies will be applied to the real markets and based on the outcome, the winners will be announced. IIT Bombay will celebrate the Silver Jubilee Reunion Class of 1995 (SJRU 1995) between December 26, 2022, to December 28, 2022. IIT Bombay will celebrate its annual alumni day on December 25, 2022. All of IIT Bombay’s alumni are invited to come by and reminisce about their times spent on campus and share their memories of their favourite institute. A series of events will be held for alumni and their family members during the celebration.
The Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay will host the next edition of the panel discussion series on the Changing Role of Chemical Engineers in November. The title for the upcoming panel discussion is ‘Circular Economy of Materials.’
This event will focus on the Circular Economy of Materials and alumni who are industry leaders will discuss with IITB faculty members issues relating to materials waste, recycling, and circular use.

IIT Bombay, in collaboration with the IIT Bombay Alumni Association Bengaluru Chapter, will be hosting an interactive session in November for its alumni members who are based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The occasion will be graced by Dr. K. Sivan, Former Chairman of ISRO and Secretary, Department of Space, who will be presenting a keynote speech at the gathering.

IIT Bombay is set to inaugurate the ‘Brijraj Chandra Mansingh Chemical Instrumentation Laboratory’ on November 7, 2022. Established with the generous contribution from IIT Bombay’s alumnus, Mr. Sanjay Mansingh (B. Tech, Electrical Engineering, 1992), the ‘Brijraj Chandra Mansingh Chemical Instrumentation Laboratory’ is a state-of-the-art facility housed in the Department of Chemistry on campus.
The lab has been set up in memory of Mr. Sanjay’s father, Shri Brijraj Chandra Mansingh, and will provide the latest and advanced equipment to undergraduate students pursuing innovative and cutting-edge research projects under the guidance of the Chemistry Department’s faculty. This modern facility will be accessible to all students and researchers of the Institute through an online booking portal and will also cater to more than 1,000 B. Tech., 200 BS/MSc., and 350 Ph.D. students. In addition, this Lab will aid the Chemistry Department’s efforts to upgrade its research infrastructure with new hardware. The Lab will play an instrumental role in the Chemistry Department’s mission to ensure high-quality training of students in the best practices of this discipline and help push the frontiers of our understanding of Chemical Sciences.
IIT Bombay will launch its first-ever Digital Trust Lab, named the ‘IIT Bombay Trust Lab’ on September 15, 2022. This Lab has been set up through the generous donation of IITB alumnus, Dr. Shridhar Shukla, who has generously contributed Rs. 29 Cr. towards this initiative.
As digital experiences rapidly become an integral part of our lives, security, privacy, population-scale access and usability, citizen empowerment, etc., become fundamental enablers for a safe and prosperous society and nation. Towards that goal, IIT Bombay is setting up the IITB Trust Lab as a timely and far-reaching initiative so that the Institute takes the lead in the vast area of digital trust and supports nation-building.
