Dr. Pravin Krishna Narwankar

nnDr. Narwankar is currently the Chief Technology Officer, Applied Materials in India, & Investment Manager, Applied Ventures in Applied Materials Corporate Business Development Group. He has played a major role in initiating & nurturing a strong research & technical collaboration between Applied Materials Inc. & IITB. He has been responsible for AMAT sponsoring 6 separate projects with various groups at IITB, valued at about $ 150,000. Dr. Narwankar has also interacted strongly with SINE and E-Cell activities at IITB.nn

Dr. Rajendra Padmanabhan Menon

nnDr. Raj Menon is CEO of The Menon Group, Inc. and President of Flat World Design, a promotional marketing company in Texas. He also serves as a Trustee and Board Member of Collin College and was the first person of Indian origin to be elected to public office in Collin County, Texas.  Dr. Menon has served on the board of the IIT Bombay Heritage Fund for many years and was also the founding President of the IIT Alumni Association of North Texas, one of the first ‘Pan-IIT’ alumni organizations in the United States.nnRaj joined IIT Bombay in 1983 and was a member of the first class of the 5-year Co-operative Integrated M.Tech. program in Chemical Engineering. In his first year at IIT, he was elected as Social Secretary of Hostel 3, and he later went on to become a member of the Hostel Council.  He also fondly remembers his participation in the organizing committees for Mood Indigo and TechnoFair as well as the Chemical Engineering Association (ChEA) during his years at IIT Bombay.nnAfter IIT, Raj joined The University of Texas at Austin, where he received MS and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering.  He is also a graduate of the Executive MBA program from the McCombs School of Business at UT. Prior to starting his business, Raj worked in corporate America as an engineering consultant and then as a management consultant for several years.nn

Mr. Shridhar Bhalchandra Shukla

nnMr. Shukla is currently the Managing Director of GS Labs Pvt. Ltd., Pune. He has been a volunteer at the Pune Chapter of the IITBAA. He was elected to Pune Chapter Executive Committee in the year 2006 and was also elected as President of Pune Chapter in that year. Under his leadership, the Pune Chapter developed the concept of organizing a national level event to showcase Innovations in practice.nn

Mr. Balaji Srinivasan

nnMr. Balaji Srinivasan has completed his B.Tech (1993 passout) . from the Dept. of Chemical Engineering.He is currently working at Intru Guard Services, USA. He has been one of the longest serving volunteers of the Bay Area chapter of IITBHF, He has been actively involved in organizing Speaker Series, Ypanels, Picnics and annual fund raising drives in the Bay Area since 1999. He has also helped in the organization of the Pan IIT event in 2003 as well as the first FAN/ADAM meeting in the bay area in 2003.nn

Mr. Ashank Datta Desai

Mr. Ashank Datta Desai is a M.Tech. (1974) from the Dept. of Mechanical Engg. He is currently the Chairman & Managing Director of Mastek Limited. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT Bombay in the year 2002. Mr. Desai is an invited member of the Senate of IIT Bombay. He was one of the members of the Committee involved in planning the overall Vision & Direction for IIT Bombay’s IT School – KReSIT.nnHe is the founder member of the newly formed Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), which manages Business Incubation Activities at IIT Bombay.

Mr. Rabiz Nasir Foda

Mr. Rabiz Nasir Foda is a B.Tech. (1973) from the Dept. of Electrical Engg. He is currently the Senior Project Engineer at Marshall Macklin Monaghan, Canada.nnMr. Foda has made significant contributions in promoting the IIT image, helping IIT graduates coming to Canada and serving the IIT Alumni in Canada and USA.nnRecently Mr. Foda participated in organizing the iit2005 Conference in Washington DC. He has also been contributing to the development and establishment of the PITECH magazine that was introduced at the Conference in Washington.

Dr. S. G. Kane

Dr. S.G.Kane retired as Vice-President-R &D from NOCIL where he served from 1981-1997. After completing his B.Tech from IITB in 1965, Dr. Kane did his S.M. and Sc.D. in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, in 1967 and 1971 respectively.nnDr. Kane has been actively involved with various activities at IITB . He has been external examiner, lectured on careers and industry expectations, and has given meaningful projects to summer trainees, besides persuading industries to fund research projects at IIT. He has been a visiting faculty at the School of Management, the Chemical Engineering Department and an external Senate member from 1990-93. Dr.Kane has been an invited member of the IIT alumni executive committee for several years and has also helped in raising funds and increased interaction with alumni. Dr. Kane is currently interested in Traditional Medicine and Herbal Science R & D. He has also developed a set of formulations with ‘Universal Health Promotion’ activity in Humans, Mammals, Birds, and Plants with effectiveness for growth, resistance and delaying senescence

Mr. Parag J. Rele

Mr. Parag Rele is an Executive Director, Atco Sensors Ltd., and Director, Atco Industries Ltd. manufacturer of Electronic Weighing scales. Mr.Parag Rele did his B.Tech (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 1969 and MS in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA.nnThough Mr. Rele graduated in 1969, he has maintained a continuous and steady contact in various (always-contributory) ways with IIT. He was one of the first to get involved in reviving the Alumni Association activities. Mr. Parag Rele started his career as a Management Trainee for Goodlass Nerolac Paints Ltd. in 1972-73 and served as Vice president (International Trade) for Coron Ltd. (1989-1992) and rose to become Executive Director for Atco Sensors Ltd. from 1998.
