nnProfessor Biswas is the Chairman of the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. He was elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Science, St. Louis in 2003. Professor Biswas has played a leading role at the National and International arena in the field of Aerosol Science and Technology by serving on several National Committees.He was the Conference Chair for the 15th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Aerosol Research, Chair of the Critical Review Committee of the Air and Waste Management Association, an Associate Editor of the Aerosol Science and Technology Journal, and the Technical Program Chair of the 7th International Aerosol Conference in 2006; and served on the Board of Directors of the American Association for Aerosol Research and was the Treasurer in 1998 and President of the organization in 2006-07. Professor Biswas is a member of the Steering Committee of the McDonnell International Scholars Academy, and an Ambassador to the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.nn

nnMr. Ajay Phatak has served as the President of the Pune Chapter (2007-08 and 2008-09). During these years, a major part of his work was devoted to developing and executing the Innovation event.nn

nnMr. Bakul Desai was one of the key players in putting together the Young Faculty Joining Bonus scheme of the Class of 1982. He is currently spearheading the Hostel Alumni Team Stewardship (HATS) initiative for Hostel 4.nn

nnMr. Dipak Sheth was a member of the organizing committee of Silver Jubilee Reunion of the 1976 Batch in December 2001.nn

nnMr. Praween Napate had a role in visualising and executing the Financial Aid Programme, the legacy project of the Class of 1981. In the past three years, FAP has advaced loan scholarships to the tune of Rs.80 lakhs, benefiting about 300 IIT Bombay students.nn

nnMr. Sanjay Jain has served the IIT-Bombay Alumni community in Bangalore as a member of the Executive Committee since 2004, and is currently the President of the Bangalore Chapter.nn

nn Mr. Sreedhar Kona is currently the President of New York Chapter. Earlier he was the Treasurer of the New York Chapter and a member of Organizing Team of the Golden Jubilee 2008 Conference in New York.nn

nnMr. Gautam Advani is a founder of the IITBAA Chapter of Greater New York. He lends his time and energy to the Greater New York chapter in full measure and has been active at this chapter for over ten years.nn

nnMr. Hemendra Godbole championed Sun outsourcing a project to CS/IITB (’97-98) including Sun Servers. Dr. SSSP Rao and team delivered beyond expectations, and Sun used this as a template for similar projects across IITs and IISC.nn

nnMr. Suresh Shenoy is the mover and shaker behind the Pan IIT movement and the coordinator of the IITB GJ 2008 Conference in NY. He is the founder of the IITBAA D.C. area Chapter. Furthermore he has also been involved in IDC (IITB) and has been helping them improve its academic infrastructure.nn
