Mr. Vikram V. Rajadhyaksha has achieved an outstanding level of success and prominence in the civil engineering industry in USA. Following his IIT Bachelor’s Degree in 1967, Mr. Rajadhyaksha received his Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1968.
He began his career with G.K. Jewell and Associates, a geotechnical engineering consulting firm, followed by service with a regulatory agency of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Water, as Head of Dam Safety. In 1979, he took advantage of the opportunity to purchase controlling interest in a local engineering firm, Dodson Lindblom Associates, Inc. As President of the company, much of the burden for marketing to the government sector becomes his responsibility with special emphasis on water resources, hydrology, and hydraulics related civil engineering projects.
He now serves as Chairman and CEO of DLZ Cooperation, which was founded in 1989. DLZ Cooperation, the largest privately owned Architectural/ Engineering firm in the Midwest, is the parent company for Dodson Stilson, Inc.; Snell Environmental Group, Inc; Cole Associates, Inc., Dodson Lindolom International, Inc and DLZ laboratories, Inc. From six employees in 1979, he now has responsibility for over 600 full-time employees.
Mr. Rajadhayaksha’s achievements have been recognised by a number of awards. He was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1990. In 1996, his firm was listed in India Abroad as the 8th largest Asian Indian American owned firm in the U.S. He actively participates in several professional organisations, serves on the University of Cinciannati Board of Trustees and is actively involved in several community organisations in Columbus.
He is currently involved in building small hydroelectric power projects in India with the Governments of Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
