Mr. Ramesh Vangal obtained his B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engg. in the year 1977. He completed his MBA from the London Business School in 1979 and became the first Asian to be awarded the school’s “Alumni of the Year” honor in 1996.

Mr. Vangal is currently the Founder and Chief Executive of Scandent Group – a leading innovator in providing technology-enabled solutions and services to a wide array of Corporate and govt. clients around the word.

Mr. Vangal is also active in working with Singapore and is an advisor to the Infocom Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and part of their Economic Review Committee. He is a Charter Member of TiE Silicon Valley, and on the Advisory Board of London Business School. He is also with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as its member on the National Council.

Mr. Vangal along with his spouse Katharin founded Katra Group which is a fast growing conglomeration of businesses in the health care, shipping, bio-chem, agri related and wine and spirit spaces. They together have also founded The Asha Foundation which helps physically challenged (brain injured) children with Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centres across India.
