Dr. Suresh Sethi completed his B.Tech. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay. Later, he obtained his MBA from Washington State University in 1969 and his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in 1972.

Dr. Sethi is one of the most distinguished management scholars and has made important and sustained contributions in the fields of operations management, finance, marketing, industrial engineering, operations research and optimal control. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honours and is a Fellow of many scholastic academies like POMS, INFORMS, AAAS, IEEE. He has an outstanding record of publications in almost all leading journals of Management Science and has served on editorial boards of several leading journals. His service to the field of optimization is widely acclaimed.

Dr. Sethi is one of the few IITB graduates from the 1960s who went to academia and made a mark. Today he is an exceptional scholar recognized worldwide for his extraordinary accomplishments in optimal theory and its application in operations research and management theories.
