Dr. N. Radhakrishnan took his M.Tech. from the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT-Bombay. Later, he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Texas, Austin, USA.
Dr. Radhakrishnan has over 40 years of experience in Information Technology. He is a widely respected leader in the Army, DOD, and industry in computational science & engineering. During 1999-2003, Dr. Radhakrishnan was the Director of Computational & Information Sciences Directorate with a budget of US $180 million and the Chief Information Officer of the US Army’s Corporate R&D Laboratory with a research funding of US $10 billion. He has also been the Director of US Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station.
Dr. Radhakrishnan is a recipient of several awards. The following are but a few:
1. Presidential Rank Award for exemplary and sustained performance as a senior executive in the Army (March 2004).
2. Exceptional Civilian Award (twice) and Meritorious Civilian Service Award (thrice) from Dept. of Defence, USA.
3. His name appeared twice in the “Federal 100″, a recoginition by the Federal Computer Week magazine of leaders in the federal government for their ability to manage, influence, and shape events in the automation realm (1993 & 1996).
