In his long stint of over 37 years with Tata Consulting Engineers as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Arun Prabhat Mull had been responsible for the management of projects – rehabilitation/ reconstruction, integrated infrastructure, public health, roads, flyovers, hotels, hospitals, institutional buildings, thermal power plants, pharmaceutical, industrial and chemical plants, marine works etc. Mr. Mull had actively initiated multi disciplinary and integrated approach to planning and execution of projects with “Green Engineering” at the focus, many years before the term “Green Engineering” was coined.

At present Mr. Mull is involved in promoting business and building capacity and capabilities for TCE. He actively encourages collaboration between TCE and educational Institutions such as IIT Bombay, Virginia Tech – Blacksburg, USA and Imperial College – London.

Mr. Mull is active alum amongst his batch and had a key role to play in his batch reunion and batched initiative of the digital archives project. Mr. Mull was extremely generous in sharing his extensive collection of old IIT Bombay photographs and mant of the photographs featured in the IIT Bombay History book, “Monastery, Sanctuary, Laboratory”, are from his personal collection. He is also actively involved in locating “Lost Souls” from the early batches of IIT graduates.
