Mr. Sudhir Sharma: “Night Sky Trio, Interstellar Turbulence” – IIT Bombay Alumnus Captures Celestial Moment

For Mr. Sudhir Sharma (B.Tech., MEMS, 1962), a member of the historic first graduating batch of IIT Bombay, the spirit of curiosity and exploration remains as vibrant today as it was at the Institute’s very beginning. More than six decades after helping shape the early legacy of IIT Bombay, his photograph capturing the rare alignment of Venus, the Moon, and Jupiter over New York was recently featured by EarthSky in its May 19 edition titled Night Sky Trio, Interstellar Turbulence, reaching millions of astronomy enthusiasts worldwide. The image above beautifully captures a fleeting cosmic moment and stands as a touching reminder that the pioneering spirit of IIT Bombay’s earliest alumni continues to inspire across generations.
