Reliving 60 Years of Excellence: IIT Bombay Class of 1965 Diamond Jubilee Reunion
IIT Bombay welcomed the Class of 1965 as they returned to their alma mater for a Diamond Jubilee celebration. The reunion was filled with heartwarming moments where the reunited alumni began their days with invigorating yoga sessions, reminisced fondly of their times back when they were students as they revisited old haunts in their hostels and departments, toured the state-of-the-art Arun Firodia Research Floor, witnessed IIT Bombay’s ambitious green initiatives and new living spaces for its students with Project Evergreen, and enjoyed the musical night arranged for their pleasure.

Even after nearly six decades since they first stepped onto campus as young students, the Class of 1965 returned to IIT Bombay with undiminished warmth, enthusiasm, and pride. That so many made the journey back to their alma mater—despite the passage of time—was a moving testament to the enduring connection they share with the Institute. IIT Bombay was deeply honoured to host them and celebrate this remarkable milestone. Their presence reminded us that the bond between IIT Bombay and its alumni is timeless—rooted in shared memories, strengthened by mutual pride, and carried forward through every generation.
