Building the Next Generation of Excellence

Every extraordinary academic journey begins with the opportunity to ask bold questions, pursue new ideas and build something that can shape the future.

Established in 2007, the Young Faculty Fellowship (YFF), formerly known as the Young Faculty Award, was initiated by the IIT Bombay Class of 1982 to support promising young faculty at a formative stage of their academic journey.

Since 2010, the Fellowship has supported 50+ faculty, enabling them to advance research, mentor students and contribute to areas that can shape India's future.

By connecting academic pursuits with industry needs and attracting international talent, YFF also strengthens IIT Bombay’s global standing through faculty excellence.
