Industrial Research and Consultancy Centre (IRCC) Hosts Enthuse 2026

IIT Bombay’s Industrial Research and Consultancy Centre (IRCC) and EnPoWER, the Institute’s student research wing, organised Enthuse 2026. Over 1,400 newly admitted undergraduate students from 15+ disciplines came together for an exciting introduction to the Institute’s vibrant research ecosystem. The event featured engaging presentations by faculty members from diverse disciplines, which allowed students to explore the breadth of research at IIT Bombay, and student speakers who shared their own research journeys and experiences.

Medical Technology Research and Innovation Centre (MED-TRIC) Welcomes First Batch of Scholars

IIT Bombay’s Medical Technology Research and Innovation Centre (MED-TRIC) welcomed its first batch of scholars, marking the beginning of a first-of-its-kind interdisciplinary PhD programme in Medical Innovations. The Centre brings together clinicians, engineers, scientists, and industry experts to develop indigenous healthcare technologies that address real clinical challenges through research, innovation, and translational impact.

TCA2I and NPCIL Ink MoU for AI Collaboration

IIT Bombay’s Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (TCA2I) has signed an MoU with the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), marking the beginning of a strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of AI across NPCIL’s operations. This partnership brings together the Institute’s expertise in AI and NPCIL’s leadership in nuclear power generation, creating new opportunities to drive innovation, enhance operational excellence, and enable technology-led transformation in one of India’s most critical strategic sectors.

IIT Bombay Inaugurates Interactive Classrooms and Executive Seminar Rooms at DSSE Building

Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, IIT Bombay, inaugurated the newly developed teaching and learning spaces at the Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE) Building. The newly inaugurated facilities include Interactive Classrooms, Collaborative Learning and Teaching Classrooms, and Executive Seminar Rooms equipped with advanced audio-visual systems, ergonomic furniture, and collaborative learning infrastructure. These spaces have been designed to support innovative teaching methodologies, active learning, executive education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Centre for Defence Technology Innovations and Strategies (CDTIS) signs MoU with  NSDL Payments Bank and BharatGen for AI and Cybersecurity

IIT Bombay’s Centre for Defence Technology Innovations and Strategies (CDTIS) has signed an MoU with the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) Payments Bank and BharatGen Technology Foundation. The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration on AI-driven digital transformation and cybersecurity. CDTIS will serve as the academic and research anchor, contributing expertise in information security and digital transformation, facilitating access to its cyber security startup and SME ecosystem, and providing training, capability building, and strategic advisory to NSDL Payments Bank.
