Mr. Shamrao Kattimani is a Program Director at JD Power and Associates in Michigan, USA.

After his B.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Bombay in 1989, Mr. Kattimani established his career in the United States. Currently, alongside his role as Program Director at JD Power and Associates, he serves as an adjunct professor at the School of Business Administration at a university in Michigan.

Mr. Kattimani has been deeply involved in alumni activities, serving as an active member and office bearer in the Michigan chapter of the IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation (IITBHF) for many years. He served on the Board and Executive Committee of the IITBHF for four years, holding the positions of Treasurer and Vice Treasurer. In this capacity, he was responsible for managing donation funds and facilitating grants to IIT Bombay for designated projects, as well as to IIT Bombay Alumni Association (IITBAA) for initiatives like Project Evergreen. Additionally, he was part of the organising committee for the Faculty and Alumni Network Symposium held at Northwestern University in 2023.

He helps low-income families in Michigan prepare and file taxes each year.
