Today’s students are preparing for a world unlike any their predecessors have experienced. Alongside rigorous academics, they navigate increasing expectations, rapid technological change, evolving workplaces and the personal challenges that accompany one of life’s most transformative journeys.

Recognising this evolving need, IIT Bombay established the Flourishing Hub in March 2025 through the visionary generosity of the graduating Classes of 1997, 1998 and 1999, together with committed alumni who believed that student wellbeing should be an integral part of an IIT Bombay education.

Because when students flourish, innovation flourishes.

Creating a Culture of Flourishing

The Flourishing Hub reflects IIT Bombay’s commitment to developing not only exceptional engineers, scientists and innovators, but also resilient, compassionate and purpose-driven individuals who are equipped to lead meaningful and impactful lives.

It brings together evidence-based wellbeing practices, experiential learning and peer support to help students build emotional resilience, strengthen their sense of purpose and develop practical skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

Through curriculum-linked courses, practical workshops, peer mentoring and leadership programmes, the Hub is creating a campus where wellbeing is not viewed as a response to adversity but as the foundation for lifelong success.

This is more than a programme. It is an investment in every student’s future.

How Students Flourish

The Flourishing Hub supports students through an interconnected ecosystem of wellbeing, leadership and inclusion, ensuring every student has access to opportunities that strengthen both personal growth and academic success.

Its impact is made possible through the collaboration of faculty, expert practitioners, student leaders, volunteers and alumni working together through structured courses and programmes. 

Courses: The courses are designed for specific student cohorts, combining psychological insights with practical life skills.

Programmes: In addition to structured courses, Flourishing Hub runs a diverse range of open-access programmes available to all IIT Bombay students throughout the year.
