IIT Bombay hosted the Nashik Alumni Connect Chapter Meet, an evening that brought together alumni across generations in a setting marked by warmth, familiarity, and renewed connection.

Welcoming the gathering, Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, IIT Bombay, reflected on the evolving journey of the Institute and the many ways alumni continue to shape its future through mentorship, engagement, expertise, and support. He also spoke about the importance of a more integrated research approach, one that helps accelerate the shift from the science of technology to the engineering of technology, while keeping students at the centre of this transformation. Prof. Upendra Bhandarkar, Dean, Alumni and Corporate Relations, also engaged with alumni, highlighting the Institute’s expanding research ecosystem and the instrumental role of alumni in enabling its growth and impact.

The evening also featured reflections on IIT Bombay’s broader institutional journey, including a presentation on campus transformation and evolving research domains. Ms. Dipti Datye, CEO of IITBAA, shared updates on the growing engagement of the alumni association, while IITB alumnus, Mr. Nikhil Kulkarni (MBA, SJMSOM, 2019), highlighted the activities and initiatives of the Nashik Chapter.
