DSSE Moves to New Building on Campus

The Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE) team at IIT Bombay recently moved to the new DSSE building on campus. Designed as a comprehensive hub for entrepreneurship, the facility brings together a wide range of spaces that support the full journey from idea to venture. These include state-of-the-art makerspaces where ideas become prototypes, tinkering labs for hands-on experimentation, design studios for translating vision into reality, and micro factories that enable concepts to scale.

IIT Bombay Launches National R&D Forum for Grid-Connected Energy Storage Systems

IIT Bombay launched the R&D Forum for Grid-Connected Energy Storage Systems, a national platform aimed at strengthening and shaping the R&D roadmap of India in energy storage through informed dialogues, deliberations, and cross-sectoral collaborations on the role of energy storage in India’s evolving power system. Coordinated by the Grid Integration Lab, IIT Bombay, Department of Energy Science & Engineering, the forum is constituted under the Energy Storage for Renewable Energy Integration in India (StoREin) project.

IRCC Hosts Flagship Workshop – ICONS

IIT Bombay’s IRCC held its flagship workshop, the International Conference on New and Emerging Concepts (ICONS), with the theme Critical Raw Materials. The Institute has been recognised as a “Centre of Excellence in Critical Minerals, Metals and Materials (CMMM)” under the National Critical Mineral Mission. In line with this National Mission, the workshop leveraged and showcased the unique strength of IIT Bombay, spanning across the entire value chain of the Mines-Minerals-Materials-Magnets-Market.
