FedEx ALFA

• Strengthens IIT Bombay–FedEx India’s industry–academia partnership through the inauguration of FedEx ALFA (Center for Advanced Logistics and Focused Analytics) and the 2,800 sq. ft. FedEx Lounge for students.
• Apart from innovation, talent development, and entrepreneurship, FedEx ALFA, established in 2023, functions as a leading multidisciplinary hub for advanced logistics and operations research, creation of advanced quantitative models, and improvement of supply chain efficiency through data-driven design and planning.
• Supports student development through M.Tech. and PhD fellowships, structured mentorship, microgrants, pre-incubation support, and participation in Institute-wide innovation platforms like the IDEAS programme.
• The Center focuses on analytics-driven solutions in areas such as dynamic pricing, sustainable supply chains, AI-enabled workforce systems, air cargo optimization, digital twins, warehouse automation, cold-chain monitoring, and predictive analytics.

The FedEx Lounge

• The FedEx Lounge, part of the Project Evergreen residential complex, enhances student well-being by offering a collaborative, relaxing, and community-oriented space with work areas, recreation, and amenities.
• The Lounge features a mix of comfortable couches and workspaces, recreational games like table tennis, and a refreshment area, offering a well-rounded student experience that values both academic intensity and everyday connection.
