IIT Bombay signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), Sweden, to strengthen collaborations across the Departments of Environmental Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Economics, Computer Science & Engineering, and the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management. The Institute was represented by Prof. Milind Atrey, Acting Director and Deputy Director (Academics, Research and Translation), while Prof. Henric Johnson, Vice Chancellor, represented BTH.

Team from IITB Visits Austrian Tech Universities

In an effort to expand and strengthen academic ties and research partnerships with Austrian technical universities via the Austrian Government’s Focus India Initiative, a team from IIT Bombay, led by Prof. Sudarshan Kumar (Dean, International Relations), travelled to Austria. The team visited three leading technical universities in the country, including Montanuniversität Leoben (MUL), TU Graz, and TU Wien.

Dr. Abhay Karandikar Inaugurates India DST – ANR Workshop

Dr. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, inaugurated the India DST – ANR Workshop on Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at IIT Bombay, alongside Dr. Honorata Plewinska of the French National Research Agency. The workshop brought together leading experts from India and France to explore collaborative opportunities in AI and applied mathematics, strengthening the long-standing Indo-French partnership in science and technology.

IIT Bombay marked a vibrant series of events on campus, fostering well-being, togetherness, and integrity. These included:
Mental Health Week
IIT Bombay’s Student Wellness Centre (SWC) celebrated Mental Health Week on campus to promote well-being, mindfulness, and community connection among students. Over 600 students participated in the week-long initiative that featured several activities combining relaxation, introspection, and creativity. The activities encouraged self-expression and collective healing while creating a safe, stigma-free space for open conversations around mental health.
