2nd National Wellbeing Conclave 2025

IIT Bombay and the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, hosted the 2nd National Wellbeing Conclave 2025 – a prestigious wellness initiative that aims to translate national guidelines into campus-level frameworks and support the development of wellbeing ecosystems across academic settings, including positive mental health, resilience, and well-being.

The Conclave was attended by representatives from 80 higher education institutions, including 20 IITs, 6 IIITs, and 8 IIMs, even as 141 faculty members and 130 students participated from across the country.

During the first session, the conclave formally released the compendium “Emerging Best Practices of Wellbeing 2.0,” which showcased exemplary models and innovative approaches from institutions across the country committed to supporting student mental health.

The first day also saw addresses by:

– The Chief Guest, Dr. Vineet Joshi, Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education, Government of India
– Prof. Shireesh B. Kedare, Director, IIT Bombay
– Prof. Deepak Marla, Vice-Chairperson, Student Wellness Centre, IIT Bombay
– Mr. Jitendra Nagpal, Director, Expressions India

The day also saw panel discussions, symposiums, a tour of the Institution Wellbeing Exhibition, and more.

Day 2 included:

– Student Workshop
– Workshop for Faculty Delegates
– Enhancing Basic Counselling Skills For Faculty and Students
– Faculty’s Role in Promoting Digital Well-being Among Students
– Valedictory Ceremony
– Action Plan for 2025-26
