IIT Bombay Alumna Dr. Anu Raghunathan Shines at TEDx Pune

IIT Bombay alumna Dr. Anu Raghunathan (PhD, Chemical Engineering, 2000) recently took the TEDx stage in Pune to share groundbreaking insights from the world of synthetic biology. Dr. Raghunathan, Chief Scientist at the National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, is pushing the boundaries of science with her bold vision in synthetic biology. In her engaging TEDx talk in Pune, she revealed how DNA is no longer just a “sacred scroll” but a programmable script, unlocking possibilities from curing brain cancer to engineering microbes that produce fuel. Leading the Metabolic Inquiry and Cellular Engineering (MICE) group, Dr. Raghunathan combines cutting-edge research, computational modelling, and experimental ingenuity to turn “what ifs” into real-world breakthroughs.
