Think back to where it all began — the laughter echoing through hostel corridors, late-night projects that turned into breakthroughs, endless cups of canteen chai, and friendships that have lasted a lifetime. 

Today, as proud IIT Bombay alumni across Canada, it’s our time to give back together — to the place that gave us so much.

GO-IITB Canada, our first-ever nationwide giving campaign is a celebration of community, generosity, and the shared pride of being IIT Bombay alumni. 

IIT Bombay: Now a Recognised Qualified Donee (QD) 

We’re thrilled to share an important milestone for our Canadian alumni and well-wishers. As of 21 January 2025, IIT Bombay is officially recognised by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as a Qualified Donee, specifically listed in Schedule VIII of the Income Tax Regulations.

This recognition makes it easier than ever to support your alma mater — your contributions are now eligible for official Canadian tax receipts and credits. Every gift you make fuels discovery, empowers students, and strengthens a shared vision for a sustainable and equitable future.

Across our three vibrant alumni chapters, the IIT Bombay spirit thrives — from Toronto, Calgary to British Columbia. We may be few, but together, we are a powerful force for good. 

We’re inviting our alumni community in Canada to come together to name a space together at the new Project Evergreen or any other new hostel. Together, a shared contribution of CAD 40,000, we could even name a Breakout space – something most of us weren’t lucky enough to get. These spaces are fostering the kind of community and spontaneous learning that defines a great Institute experience. By supporting spaces like this, you’re not just donating money; you’re investing in friendships, ideas, and the future of the students. You’re creating a space where students will gather, imagine, and flourish for years to come. 

This is your chance to honour your own hostel memories — by naming a space that will anchor countless memories to come.
