CSR 2024-2025 – The Year In Review

At IIT Bombay, CSR partnerships are more than contributions — they are catalysts for innovation, inclusion, and long-term impact. This past year, our collaborations have helped advance cutting-edge research, accelerate technology transfer, and align academic excellence with industry readiness. We continue to champion partnerships that foster diversity, support inclusive growth, and strengthen the bridge between knowledge and real-world application.

Here’s a snapshot of our key partnerships across FY 2024–25:

QUARTER 1

  • HiMedia Laboratories partnered with Wadhwani Research Centre for Bioengineering to establish the WRCB–HiMedia Bio-Innovation Centre, advancing gene sequencing and diagnostics.
  • Tata Consulting Engineers supported research and technologies for sustainable development.
  • Evonik India Pvt Ltd funded scholarships in sustainable engineering, nurturing future-ready talent.

 

QUARTER 2

  • Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd made a landmark contribution to establish the Motilal Oswal Knowledge Centre, a state-of-the-art academic hub for research and innovation.
  • Kongsberg Digital extended in-kind support in the area of climate action and sustainable development.
  • ABB India Foundation enabled a cutting-edge teaching lab for electrical machines and drives.
  • STEM Water Foundation supported research in water sustainability.
  • Chemours India funded scholarships for undergraduate women and awards for Chemical Engineering toppers.

 

QUARTER 3

  • Autodesk supported a new Electrical Machines and Drives Lab, offering hands-on experience in energy-efficient systems.
  • Waaree Energies Ltd collaborated on advanced R&D in perovskite solar technology for clean energy futures.
  • Airpac Systems contributed to undergraduate scholarships.
  • Adani Group supported student research on astronomy and entrepreneurship.
  • Bhukhanwala Brothers instituted a fellowship for meritorious students.

 

QUARTER 4

  • Tower Research Capital signed an MoU for an R&D project at IIT Bombay titled Expanding Bodhitree and EvalPro for Educational Impact.
  • Hella India Automotive Pvt Ltd funded research in electric vehicle technologies.
  • Asahi Kasei India Pvt Ltd supported scholarships and fellowships for students.

This Conclave aims to foster impactful partnerships between Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and the industry, for advancements in research, technology, and innovation through CSR funding, for nation-building and societal good.
