IIT Bombay Hosts Delegation from The University of Oklahoma

IIT Bombay’s Department of Civil Engineering and Centre for Climate Studies hosted a delegation from The University of Oklahoma, USA, to explore collaborative opportunities in climate, weather, and water research. The discussions aimed to foster international partnerships and drive innovation in these critical fields.

As part of the Civil Engineering Association (CEA) lecture series, two thought-provoking talks introduced the pioneering work of the Advanced Radar Research Centre at The University of Oklahoma. These sessions highlighted cutting-edge advancements in meteorology and environmental science, emphasizing the need for global cooperation in tackling climate challenges.

IIT Bombay extends its appreciation to the distinguished speakers: Prof. Robert Palmer (Advanced Radar Research Centre & National Weather Centre), Prof. Pierre-Emmanuel Kirstetter (School of Meteorology & School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science), and Prof. Thirumalai “Venky” Venkatesan (Centre for Quantum Research and Technology).
