Empowering Innovation: Alumni Contributions Fuel IIT Bombay’s Future

Mr. Deepak Satwalekar (B.Tech. (Hons), Mechanical Engineering, 1971)

Mr. Satwalekar has signed an MoU to support research and development, innovation, and hands-on student learning in the space technology-related area.  Mr. Satwalekar has earlier supported the creation of the Deepak and Maya Satwalekar Lab (Design and Making) for students to undertake academic programs with the latest digital and mechanical equipment to enable hands-on training.

Mr. Arjun Raju Raghavan (B.Tech., Metallurgy and Material Engineering, 1996)

Mr. Raghavan has signed an MoU to support 10 Young Faculty Fellowships (YFF) to attract and nurture top-tier young faculty at IIT Bombay. Mr. Raghavan has generously supported the batch legacy project during the silver jubilee reunion of the batch.

Mr. Lalit Keshre (B.Tech., Electrical Engineering, 2004)

Mr. Lalit Keshre signed an MoU to provide seed support for research in Wide Band Gap Power Electronics for Electric Vehicles (EVs) for researching ‘Robust and High-Density Sic Based Motor Controller’ for electric cars. He has also contributed to support the IITB Racing Car Team specifically for the ‘Fabrication of Components and Subsystems of the Car.’

These impactful contributions reflect the strong bonds and lasting legacy our alumni hold with IIT Bombay. By supporting cutting-edge research, faculty development, and student innovation, they not only honour their alma mater but also empower the Institute to push the boundaries of knowledge and technology.
