The recent HNI Meet in Jaipur brought together esteemed alumni and industry leaders for an evening of insightful discussions, innovative ideas, and the strengthening of bonds within the IIT Bombay community.
The event commenced with an informal meet-up, where attendees had the opportunity to reconnect and engage in fruitful conversations.
The official proceedings began with a welcome note, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting accompanied by the Institute anthem, setting a tone of reverence and pride.
Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, IIT Bombay then took the stage, delivering a keynote address that shed light on the Institute’s current initiatives and future vision.
Prof. Ravindra Gudi, Dean ACR, followed with a presentation outlining the continued growth and achievements of the Institute, focusing on the transformative role that alumni have played.
The Jaipur Chapter’s President and Secretary further enriched the event with their address and presentation, reflecting on their contributions and the way forward for the chapter.
The evening featured two highly anticipated panel discussions. The first panel was titled “Disruptive Frugal Innovation” and the second panel titled “Technology for Transformational Change.”
A fun quiz about IIT Bombay and IITBAA kept the atmosphere lively, encouraging active participation from attendees. The focus then shifted to the much-awaited presentation on Project Evergreen, with members of the Board of Directors highlighting the ongoing efforts to enhance hostel infrastructure and the alumni’s role in supporting these initiatives.
The event concluded with Prof. Ravindra Gudi’s heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by remarks from Board of Directors members Ms. Shreya Agrawal and Mr. Rajan Sangi. Dinner and networking followed, allowing attendees to continue building meaningful connections in a relaxed and engaging environment.

NCR Chapter Alumni Meet 2024
IIT Bombay’s NCR Chapter Alumni Meet 2024 also started with a warm welcome followed by an insightful address by Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay. This was followed by a presentation by Prof. Ravindra Gudi, Dean ACR, providing a glimpse into the ongoing progress at the Institute.
A key highlight of the evening was an address by Mr. Devendra Agrawal, IITBAA Board of Directors (BOD) member, and Founder, Dexter Capital and Dexter Ventures. Mr. Agrawal also hosted a fireside chat with Mr. Gaurav Munjal, Founder at Infollion.
IITBAA BOD member Dr. Shreya Agrawal then updated attendees on the status of IIT Bombay’s alumni-led hostel initiative, Project Evergreen. This was followed by Mr. Sandeep Chittora, President of the NCR Chapter, who provided an update on the Chapter’s activities and future plans, encouraging alumni participation and support.
The evening concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof. Ravindra Gudi, followed by a networking dinner where alumni had the opportunity to interact with each other and the Director of IIT Bombay.
