The 2024 edition of the IRCC’s Annual CONferences on Emerging ConceptS [ICONS], titled ICONS 2024 Sparks Innovation at IITB Workshop IITB Hydrogen Workshop and dedicated to showcasing the forefront of advancements in India’s Hydrogen economy was a resounding success.
Mr. Lalit Bohra, Joint Secretary of MNRE, graced the occasion as the chief guest, and shared his visionary perspective on the widespread adoption of hydrogen technologies in India.
The two-day event was held on February 16-17 and featured illuminating talks by prominent figures in hydrogen generation, storage, transportation, and application, including industry leaders and academic experts.
Led by Conveners Prof. Pratibha Sharma and Prof. Arnab Datta, the workshop included addresses by distinguished speakers including:

Industry experts from IOCL, TCE, Adani, Cummins, BPCL, TATA Steel, Reliance, John Cockerill, and others also shared their invaluable experiences in hydrogen production, storage, and utilization.
The exhibition segment featured groundbreaking innovations, ranging from type-4 hydrogen cylinders to hydrogen-based two-wheelers, showcasing IIT Bombay’s leadership in pioneering hydrogen-centric solutions.
