Religion, caste, creed, and nationality had no negative effect on the personal bonding between students at IIT Bombay. The best educational Institute also had the best library and the best ‘clubs’ and other extracurricular facilities in Mumbai. What more can one ask for? Back then IIT Bombay did not have the best Computer Centre. So, for my B. Tech. and M. Tech. projects, I was lucky to be able to use the computer facilities at TIFR, courtesy of my guide, Dr. R. M. Belkune.”
