Mr. Arun Mahadeo Joshi is a Principal Consultant at Apex Consultants, Mumbai, a firm that specializes in water management, treatment and recycle consultancy. Besides a B.Tech. (Honors) degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay, Mr. Joshi holds a postgraduate diploma in Industrial Management from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.nnDuring 1996-99, Mr. Joshi worked with Ion Exchange India Ltd and grew to the position of Senior Vice President before he left the firm in 1999 to start his own consultancy. He has specialized knowledge of all aspects of water treatment and management. Mr. Joshi has travelled widely – domestically and internationally – during his employment and during his consultation work. He is associated with many prestigious projects in the field of water and is involved extensively in technical training. Recalling his time spent at IIT Bombay, Mr. Joshi said, “One of my favorite memories is interacting with Prof. N. R. Kamath who walked with me and two other classmates all the way from the Department of Chemical Engineering to the library to help us locate library references for our Home Paper”.nnMotivation towards contribution to IIT Bombay nn“I always consider IIT Bombay as an Institution that shaped my life. I believe it’s essential that I give back something tangible to the Institute and one that will be of use to future generations of students. We were on campus during its early days. Now it has grown but there are bigger issues to be tackled that can be done only with the support of the alumni”.
